I believe in God, only I spell it       N-A-T-U-R-E –-Frank Lloyd Wright

At Forest Church we build community through sacred places and practices that connect us to creation through nature.   We learn while playing.  We grow while praying.  We meditate with the trees and practice with the grass to become more connected, more nourished and in return more nourishing to others in our lives.

Forest Church will bring you into relationship with the Seasons.  It will ask you to listen to nature.  It will ask you to experience, share your knowledge and wisdom with others to build community.

All you need in order to attend Forest Church is the openness to experience, the willingness to play and the readiness to connect.  And not to be forgotten…proper outdoor clothing!  Forest Church happens regardless of the weather.  Better said…”Forest Church happens in relationship to the weather.”  And in the end as Bruce Stanley says; ” The worship will happen when your heart is caught up in the beauty of the moment.”  Please feel welcome to join us on one of our Sacred Sunday’s.

Forest:  “Trees are the earth’s endless effort to speak to the listening heaven.”                                                                           -Rabindranath Tagore

Church:  “Church is who we are, not where we go.”                                                                                                                             -Jarrid Wilson

Sacred:  “Your Sacred space is where you can find yourself over and over again.”                                                                      -Joseph Campbell

Community: “The power of Community to Create Health is far greater than any physician, clinic or hospital.”              -Mark Hyman

Connect:  “We cannot live only for ourselves.  A thousand fibers connect us with our fellow men;  And among those fibers, as sympathetic threads, our actions run as causes, and they come back to us as effects.                                          -Herman Melville

Creation:  “The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn.”                                                                                                        -Ralph Waldo Emerson

Nature: “Nature is the first step toward the mystical.”                                                                                                                       -Joan Chittister

  1. As long as I have been an adult I have equated money with security. I feel grateful for the explanation that taking care of self builds walls, and in using money as security we are not in right relationship with people who can take care of us.

Although you may be unsteady – and there may be obstacles ahead – and a muddy, mucky path, go to unknown territory, being watchful of where you are not allowed to go. There are signs of life and warmth up ahead – halfway up.

  3. I look forward to reading your blog and looking more at your webpage.. I am interested in organizing a Forest Church where I live. Do you have any resource suggestions? I plan to buy the book by Bruce Stanley.
